Short version: we collect as little as we can. The gallery needs nothing from you. Hood Games needs a wallet address or X handle so your Hood Bucks have a home.
What we collect
- Wallet address or X handle. This is whatever you type in when you claim Hood Bucks. It's shown on the public Hood Games leaderboard, shortened for wallets.
- Your player key, scrambled. We store a one-way hash of your key, never the key itself, so we can check it when you restore your account.
- Game history. This covers your Hood Bucks balance, the hands you play and a ledger of every bet, win and refill. It keeps the games fair and the balances honest.
- A scrambled IP address. We keep a keyed hash of the IP address used at claim time, and only to stop one person from farming lots of accounts. We don't store your raw IP with your account.
- Your tribute NFTs. If you sign up with a wallet, we read which tribute collection NFTs it holds from Robinhood Chain (public data) and record which ones have paid out. We keep an index of who owns each tribute NFT, built from the same public chain data.
- Your X handle and task links. If you connect an X handle and submit tasks, we store the handle, the post links you send, and the public post details X returns for them (author and text) so the team can review them.
- A session cookie. One cookie,
hsm_session, keeps you signed in to Hood Games for up to a year. It's strictly necessary, and logging out clears it.
What we don't collect
- No names, emails, phone numbers or payment details.
- No wallet connection and no signatures. We never touch your funds and never ask for a seed phrase or private key.
- No advertising trackers, no ad cookies, and we don't sell or rent data to anyone.
Visitor stats
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, so we know which pages people visit and roughly where from (country, device type, referring site). It sets no cookies, doesn't fingerprint you, and can't tell us who you are.
Who helps us run the Site
The Site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs such as IP address, browser and page requested for security and reliability. Hood Games data lives in a Neon Postgres database. Both process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. Wallet addresses you enter are already public on the blockchain, and X handles are public on X.
How long we keep it
We keep Hood Games data while your account exists. The game ledger is append-only by design. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise your wallet or handle, key and IP hash, so what's left can't be tied back to you.
Your choices
You can log out at any time. To see, correct or delete what we hold about your account, message @HoodStreetMini on X from the handle you claimed with, or tell us the wallet and prove it's yours. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA, and we'll honour them.
Kids
Hood Games is for adults 18+. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. The Terms of Service cover everything else.
